2024 Natural Canada Pro Qualifier Bronze Medalist

I brought home the bronze from Saturday's Natural Canada Pro Qualifier! 🥉

I started this journey simply to demand the best from myself at a time when I felt that I had fallen off my game. Ten months later, I had the privilege of squeaking onto the podium at Canada's National competition and taking home a medal.

At these shows, the process begins with the initial prejudging in the morning, followed by a long wait until the judges announce their official decision. During this waiting period, people generally have a good idea of who is likely to win. As I awaited the results, I imagined myself in every possible placement and focused on feeling gracious in anticipation of any scenario. This was a challenge and a learning lesson in itself.

My original goal was simply to take home a medal at the Ottawa Natural Classic and after unexpectedly sweeping the competition in June, I faced the daunting task of extending my prep by another 7 weeks to make Nationals. This was the hardest thing that I have ever done. Placing in the top 3 in my category certainly makes it all feel worth it.

I want to give a big shoutout to all the gentlemen in my category who brought incredible physiques to this show. The pain I endured to get there was obviously shared by the other competitors who brought extremely competitive packages.

Writing in my journal the morning of, I found myself claiming that this would be the last time I would compete - how one swears off alcohol during a morning hangover.

It has been an honour committing myself to this craft. I will be back in 2025. 💪
